I need Jesus—desperately, daily. When I was a teenager, I lost my cousin to suicide. The grief was overwhelming, and no one around me could reach the place in my soul that was breaking. But God could. He met me in that darkness, held my pain, and began to heal what I thought was beyond repair. In that season, I made a decision: if I ever pursued music, it would be for Him—and for the souls who are suffering in silence.

Not long after, Logic released “1-800-273-8255”—a song that boldly named the pain so many try to hide. It mirrored what I felt and what I wanted to fight for: life, hope, and healing. That suicide prevention number has been in my bio ever since. I want to ensure there is a lifeline for anyone who might need it.

Being part of J209 is an answer to that calling. It’s not just about singing—it’s about surrender. I know what it means to feel loss. And now, I get to remind others of this wonderful truth: God is near. You are not alone.
