Meet Parker O’very

Hey, I’m Parker. 

For years, my wife battled serious health complications. I can’t count how many times I prayed, begging God to let me be the sick one instead. Before that season closed the door on growing our family, we were blessed with two beautiful boys, gifts we will never take for granted. We felt so strongly that healing would come, and it did. But not in the way we imagined. It came in a way that permanently kept our family small. 

Holding onto faith during that season stretched me in ways I didn’t know were possible. But somehow, we still found real joy. Not fake joy. Real joy. Because Jesus brought us hope. 

That’s why J209’s mission matters so much to me. There are people waking up to realities they didn’t choose. Diagnoses. Waiting seasons. Financial strain. I want them to know God is still working in their story. He hasn’t stepped away.

On stage, I simply love singing about Jesus. I believe He came for everyone — not just the “put together” believers. And when we stand together in unity, we reach further.
