Meet Robert Seely
Well hello there!
I’m Robert. In college, I joined a singing group almost by accident. I wasn’t chasing it. A friend pushed me to audition. I got in, and it changed my life.
We performed in parks, prisons, and performing arts centers. We testified of Jesus everywhere. And something powerful happened: even when I didn’t feel worthy of God’s love myself, sharing it with others reminded me it was still true.
I’m someone who tends to carry things alone. I try to handle everything myself. But I’ve learned that when I look outward and serve someone else, something shifts inside me.
That’s why J209’s mission resonates so deeply. It’s easy to feel alone in the middle of something hard. But we’re not meant to do this alone. When we sing about Jesus meeting us in our struggle, I’m singing to myself too. Reminding myself that He is there every step of my journey.
On stage, I love making the room rumble and creating a foundation so others can shine. There’s something beautiful about knowing your role supports someone else. That’s what real community looks like — each of us bringing our part so something bigger than ourselves can come alive.
